Yoo (she/her/hers)

Registered Psychologist, MA

We move through life doing the best we can, given what we've got.

You’ve come this far because you are capable, strong, and resilient.

While you may feel stuck - you are not alone.

If you are open to talking about your struggle, we can actively explore your ways of being - perceiving, sensing, thinking, feeling, and doing.

Through genuine curiosity and a willingness to participate in the therapeutic process, you can gain clarity around who you are, what you value, what you want, and where to go from here.

Do you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or discouraged? I draw from evidence-based practices and can support and guide you to decrease your obstacles, increase your capacity, follow your inner wisdom, and build on your existing strengths. With new insight and strategies, you can be empowered to make intentional decisions and take purposeful action toward your desired goals and success.

You can reclaim your sense of presence, agency, and confidence.

You can live your life with greater connection, meaning, and fulfillment.

My background

I am originally from Hong Kong and was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. I completed my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia in 2009. I moved to Calgary in 2012 and became a Registered Psychologist in Alberta in 2019.

Throughout my career, I have worked in school and community-based settings, as well as provided in-home support to individuals and families in need. My early training involved supporting children, youth, parents, and families struggling with addiction, abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, and crisis concerns. When I relocated to Calgary, I expanded my area of expertise to provide counselling, psychoeducation, and consultation services to a variety of individuals in support of children and youth diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disabilities. I am passionate about supporting children and youth struggling with emotional, mental, behavioral, social, and functional challenges - as well as adults and parents who are encountering these struggles themselves or with the children in their care.
